May 24 The bell tower of the Saint Lawrence came down on Thursday. I was working in my studio all day & witnessed the different stages. I knew it would be heartbreaking for me & it was. With every loud collapse & dust cloud came tears. The building was simply hazardous & unsafe so there wasn't an alternative but still it made me sad. Here's what's left for now. It really feels like pieces of an old castle. I will donate a percentage of my daily painting sales for the next month to the rehabilitation of the Saint Lawrence.
