We have a little market across the street from our house & I went over there this morning to get a few things & couldn't resist the oranges ... so luscious. I bought 2 & cut one in half & of course I had to eat a quarter of it as soon as I cut it, so I was left with these pieces to paint. I painted them at 2 different angles because they were so beautiful! Enjoy!

I was walking the pups this morning & thinking about what I would paint ... the weather is gorgeous & I need to get out on location, but I am wiped out this morning & knew I'd want to cozy into the bright studio. I thought about our afternoon in Stonington & decided to paint a scene from the lovely liitle hillside village. Voila!

1 Day at the Saint Lawrence

I woke up to DENSE fog & even though the church tower was right under my nose I could barely make it out ... and then a couple of hours later the fog had burned off revealing a gorgeous day & the deconstruction of the Saint Lawrence that is under way. Part of the church is being taken down because if it's not taken down it will fall down ... it's an amazing construction that structurally couldn't support itself. So they are disassembling it & then the plan is to reassemble it. My fingers are crossed that it goes smoothly -- I adore the church--it's what I look out on from my studio.

Update 5-7: Here's a painting of Tucker--he's so cute, I just want to pinch his cheek! :-) He is one of the pooches I painted on Cinco de Mayo. :-)

Just an entry to say hi. I have been a busy painter ... lots of commission work recently, none of which I am able to post right now. But trust me when I say I have more than done my 8 paintings for the week.

Today I worked on a couple of pooch paintings and then I got to hang out with my little niece ... we ran a few errands, took a couple of walks on the prom & even an afternoon catnap on the couch with a kitty too! Ahhhhhhh ... Spring!

I hope everyone enjoyed the lovely day! WOW was it nice!

We took a morning hike up Blue Hill Mountain & the view was lovely! You could see islands & islands & the ocean line horizon melted into the sky.

Sorry for the delayed postings ... I did a 2 day encaustics workshop in Biddeford with Diane Bowie Zaitlin & couldn't squeeze everything in timely fashion. :-) I had a ball & look forward to playing some more with wax! :-)
