Here’s a sunset from Mount Battie in Camden. We
stayed at Camden Hills State Park last week &
got to enjoy this pretty view from the tower.
It’s always such a treat to witness a spectacular
sunset or sunrise. I hope you have been able to

The humidity has been sticking around this
SUMMER! Thank goodness for some outings to the
beach & the lake to cool off. Last week we
went for a swim & boat ride on Taylor Pond
& enjoyed this hot sunset. Can’t you just
feel the heavy air?!

I had the pleasure of painting this gorgeous
peaks Island home as a gift for the homeowner. I
just want to sit on that front or back porch with
a good book & take in some of that island

Last year around this time we were up in Lubec,
Maine. What a wonderful getaway that was--&
so inspiring! Here’s a scene from the rocky
shores near where we stay at the
Lubec Bay
Cottage.
I just looked at the listing & see that
they have added an incredible deck &
balcony to the home ... WOW! Even more
heavenly than when we were there!

I was sitting here on this dreary day thinking
about my Summer plans. I’m going to head up to VT
for a little bit & I’m just not sure when. My
mind took me back to the Green Mountains &

I LOVE Flowering Trees • 5x5 • oil on canvas • $75
I can’t resist these flowering
trees--they are exquisite. This one can be found
on the shoreline trail of the Eastern Prom. So
fragrant, so pretty. I don’t know the names of my

Surrounded by Spring on the Prom • 5x5 • oil on canvas • $75
I wish I could send you the smell in the air
today along with this picture of my painting,
because it is simply divine! Between the lilac
bushes & the apple & cherry blossoms, the
smell is intoxicating. I feel nothing but love
for this day & my neighborhood! I walked down
to the Eastern Prom with my paints & I sat in
the dandelion littered grass to paint & take
in the view. What a nice morning outing! I hope
you get outside for a bit too!

Borestone Star Gazing I & II • 5x5s • oil on canvas • SOLD
I had an unusual thing happen the other day ... I
sold a painting twice. Ooops! I had somehow missed
updating my daily painters gallery at
www.dailypainters.com & someone
purchased a painting I had sold a week
prior. I explained what had happened &
offered to do 2 new, similar paintings &
let them pick one--they agreed. Nothing
makes me happier than getting lost in a
Borestone Mountain ... especially stargazing
ones! Needless to say, when I showed my
customer pictures of the 2 paintings, she
jumped & purchased the second one as
well. They do make a lovely pair. Cheers to
stargazing!

Morning Stillness on Sunrise Pond • 5x5 • oil on canvas • SOLD
It’s a gorgeous morning in Maine! I am sore from
hauling dirt around for our raised veggie garden
beds yesterday & I decided to sit comfortably
in my studio & get lost in a tranquil morning
scene from Borestone Mountain. Here is a pretty
reflection painting as seen from the canoe on
Sunrise Pond ... what a peaceful way to start the
day. I had a lot of fun playing with color in
this painting & it made me HAPPY! I hope it
makes you happy too!

Crow Taking Off on the Prom • 10x10 • oil on canvas • $135
I caught this crow in flight the other morning as
I was moving in on him to take a picture and
thought it would make for a fun painting. It’s so
uplifting to hear the birds chirping in the
morning & the crows talking to one another as
they move from tree top to lamp post & back
again. I’ve always been intrigued by crows.

Happy Spring, Happy Earth Day! • 5x5 • oil on canvas • $75
Happy Earth Day! I couldn’t have asked for a
better start to my day. I walked down to the
Eastern Prom with the pups this morning &
things had turned GREEN overnight. I love it when
suddenly the grass goes from looking tired &
brown to bright green. And the stillness over
Casco Bay was gorgeous. I just had to share this
tranquil Spring view with you. Have a great

Driving Through the Marsh, Cape Elizabeth • 5x5 • oil on canvas • SOLD
It’s rainy & cold here this
morning & I decided to get lost in the marsh
in Cape Elizabeth that we explored last weekend.
There is something so warming about the marsh ...
maybe it’s because I associate it with childhood
memories of the tidal marshes in South Carolina.
Even the Maine marsh has a similar feel to that
of South Carolina, despite the lack of palm
trees. Stay cozy!

We were out exploring last week & stopped to
admire the Spurwink Church. I love how sweet
& simple this church is. And the setting is
so pretty too, as the church sits up on a hill
overlooking the marsh. I’d say it makes for a
lovely resting place.

We were out exploring a little yesterday in Cape
Elizabeth & we stopped at this little
overlook to admire the marsh & great puffy
clouds. I love puffy clouds! Isn’t this scene so
inviting? I love the vastness of the marsh &
the glimmer of water across it.
