Awhile back we went for a beautiful evening bike
ride to watch the sunset over the Back Cove ...
it was gorgeous. What we didn’t know was that the
full moon was coming up over Casco Bay at the
same time! We rode our bike back around on the
Eastern Prom & witnessed this moonrise. I’ve
been so busy lately, I haven’t had time to paint
it ... until now!

Vinalhaven Harbor • 24x36 • oil on canvas • SOLD
We went to Vinalhaven for the first time a few
weeks ago & I just loved poking around the
harbor shoreline. Everywhere I looked I saw a
painting. I couldn’t resist this scene of the
fishing boats docked & the in the harbor
& the seagull perched on the edge of a dock
... a little piece of heaven!

Ferry Ride to Vinalhaven • 5x5 • oil on canvas • $75
I was so inspired on our trip to Vinalhaven--from
leaving the dock, to riding by 2 lighthouses, to
looking back at Camden Hills, and seeing the
countless islands littering the coast--it was a
stunning hour and 20 minute ride. We got out
close to Vinalhaven & I couldn’t believe how
many other little islands there were around.
Everywhere I looked I saw views that simply
captured the essence of the Maine Coast. Here is
one of them.
